為什麼有時候離震央近，震度卻較小？ | PanSci 泛科學 : 引述： 「盆地效應」或是「沖積層效應」，而這類效應最明顯處就是在台北盆地與西部平原區，而這個效應說穿了就是物理上的「共振」現象，共振現象就是指波在特定頻率下的波動會因介質的不同而讓波動放大。因此地震從堅硬的岩盤經過鬆軟的沖積層中，部分的頻率因共振而放大，而在台北盆地中，這個效應還因為盆地內的沉積物呈碗盆狀，因而有部分的地震波頻段被限制在盆地之中，使得震動更為劇烈。 Photo credit: CWB, Taiwan

嘉義縣府引進農業空拍 災損判斷僅需九天 文/  上下游記者林慧貞  on 2015 年 02 月 25 日 in  農學堂 每當颱風豪雨來襲，農民除了看著倒伏稻子無語問蒼天，還得等上2、3個月，經公所、縣府一次次現勘，才能領到補償金，漫長的過程消耗許多人力物力，嘉義縣政府去年和民間公司及中興大學合作，試用無人飛機空拍豪雨前後的稻田，比對稻子正常生長高度，判斷倒伏情況，預估僅需9天，就能完成災損勘查，未來可望進一步擴展到其他農作物，大幅提升災損補助的行政效率。
